A glance at this design and you wish you had held on to your bizarre music system concept a wee bit longer before dumping it, don’t you? Well, looks can be deceptive in general… and at times, outright revealing. Industrial designer Renze J. Rispens has tapped the ‘potential of the perspective’ to its unexplored extent and therefore, opinions about his Ghettoblaster Monk audio system will be purely subjective in nature. For one, we believe anything that sees no reason in convention has to outsell its down-to-earth idea regardless of who the buyer is. And two, as a buyer you have the liberty to decide if you really see any logic in buying an audio system with speakers that can be adjusted for direction. Get the drift? Yes, the Ghettoblaster Monk has speakers that can be aligned both front/back as well as sideways (for the best surround sound?).
And, when you need some peace and quiet, it doubles up as a conveniently raised seat. Pushing its USP further, you can carry the system around on your shoulders, with leather padding provided to keep sores away. Logically, it is a concept that deserves a better evaluation. However, we have decided to leave this part to you!
